We the Sheeple…
The first time I heard the term “Sheeple” was from Dr. Drew Hall who owns and operates an Upper Cervical Health Centers of America office in California. I instantly fell in love with it. You see, Sheeple are sheep people. These are people who believe everything they read and hear. These are people who are just looking to be lead but don’t every question who’s leading. Sheeple can not survive on their own. They can not think for themselves. They typically are found in large herds around other Sheeple. And often they are making a whole lot of noise but when you listen it’s just a bunch of incoherent BAAAAble.
Now I think that even the best of us (myself included) has had a Sheeple moment or two in our life. If we recognize it for what it is worth and keep it from happening again, it’s no big deal. But unfortunately, most Sheeples don’t know they are Sheeple.
Since the first step to reconciling a problem is to realize that you have one, I’m going to do my best to point out some signs that will help you identify Sheeple. Of course this isn’t a complete list. It just happens to be what I can think of off the top of my head. Feel free to add your own.
ON A SIDE NOTE: If you happen to see yourself in more than one of these then that’s both good news and bad. The bad news is that you’re a Sheeple. The good new…well, now you know.
You might be a Sheeple if…
- you think the evening news is fair and un-bias.
- you believe everything you hear in a pharmaceutical commercial except for the last 10 seconds.
- you think that your health insurance has anything to do with “health.”
- you think that diet soda is good for you because it has less calories.
- you think that vaccines are safe and without side-effects.
- you don’t think that “preventative medicine” is an oxymoron.
- you think that Upper Cervical Doctors only help neck problems.
- you think we can have a government funded health insurance without raising taxes.
- you think that you can substitute 8 glasses of water per day with 8 cups of coffee because they are both liquid.
- you think that even though half the kids at your child’s school are either on anti-depressants or Ritalin that it is a “drug free” school.
- you get upset about being “fat” but yet you don’t do anything to actually lose weight.
- you think that chiropractors are “back crackers” and the notion that your spine has anything to do with the rest of your health is just a ploy to take your money.
- you get upset when someone says you are not actually doing anything to lose weight and start talking about all the things you have tried that “didn’t work.”
- you think that the phrase “separation of church and state” is actually written somewhere in the United States Constitution.
- you complain about how you don’t have any money and that the economy is bad while you sit in your 250k+ home watching your 42″ plasma.
- you have to take a smoke break and do a beer run in the middle of your in depth conversation with your friends about how everyone is equal and it’s your right to have the same health care coverage as everyone else.
- you think that it is OK to abuse your body because by the time it falls apart “they” will have come up with some way to fix it.
- you think that every time you go to the chiropractor, you should get adjusted.
- you think that every time you see a patient, they need to be adjusted. (that one is for the Non-Upper Cervical chiros out there)
- you think that general chiropractic and Upper Cervical are the same thing.
- you get offended when an Upper Cervical doctor distinguishes himself (or herself) from a general chiropractor.
- you want the body/life-style/money/job/fame/family or anything else that someone else has but you don’t think you have to DO ANYTHING that they do.
- you think that because your grandma smoked 3 packs a day and died at 103 years old that you can do the same thing.
- you think you can go to the man in the big white coat and get any recommendations other than drugs and surgery.
- you think that when your doctor tells you NOT to go to the Upper Cervical doctor that he actually knows what he’s talking about and has your best interest at heart.
- you think that the pharmaceutical companies actually care about what happens to you.
- you believe you have no control over your health because it’s all genetic anyway.
- you get upset at the Upper Cervical doctor because you still have all the same problems you’ve had for the last 40 years and you’ve been seeing him for a whole week.
- you believe people that choose not to vaccinate their children are ignorant and irresponsible.
- you believe you HAVE to vaccinate your child or they can’t go to school.
Last but not least…You might be a Sheeple if you believe that there is no connection whatsoever between childhood vaccines and Autism.
